Laparoscopy / laparoscopy

Laparoscopy is a technique that allows you to explore the abdomen using a camera. The most common operations performed are abdominal testicular removal and oophorectomy (removal of an ovary, most often tumor).

In stallions, in order to prevent recurrence of inguinal hernia without castrating the horse, an inguinal ring closure technique has been developed for standing horses

In horses with previous colic surgery for nephro-splenic entrapment, recurrence can be prevented by closing the nephro-splenic space under laparoscopy.
